Art Building, Kosovo: Bay-Level Guidance for a 60-Space Car Park

Kosovo · Parking guidance

AKE’s Art Building project in Kosovo records 60 parking spaces, with 60 ultrasonic detectors and 60 parking-space indicators supplied in July 2022. The installation photographs show the numbered bays and green indicators along the indoor parking aisle.

Clear bay information in a compact car park

The photographed aisle combines vehicle movement, numbered parking positions and a pedestrian crossing. The detector-and-indicator arrangement gives drivers a visible status at the bay, supporting the choice of a space as they approach. These are installation-stage photographs, with work materials still visible; they are not presented as final acceptance evidence.

The available supply record is a single 2022 order. It documents 120 physical items across the detectors and indicators. The project has 60 recorded parking spaces; equipment and bay counts remain separate.

Where the project can go next

The following are proposed upgrades, separate from the recorded installation.

For a compact site, the first improvement is operational consistency: verify every bay against its indicator, keep pedestrian markings unobstructed, and check the status of reserved or temporarily closed spaces. An entrance availability display is a possible next step if drivers cannot assess capacity before entering.

Indoor and underground parking

A pay station may be useful if the operating model includes paid visitor parking. Assess demand before adding a car-finder kiosk to a 60-space layout; plate-based finding would also require a plate-to-space data source and a maintained map.

Gated outdoor parking

If access needs to be controlled, the entrance can be assessed for STAR PMS, a card terminal and a barrier. Cards can identify authorised vehicles; the specified call function can provide a route to operator assistance.

Open outdoor parking

If the site later gains outdoor spaces, use a separate survey to choose video bollards, geomagnetic sensors or curbside devices. Indoor ultrasonic equipment should not be assumed suitable for exposed outdoor conditions.

Only the two indoor installation photographs are used. The architectural rendering in the same folder is excluded.
